Wilglory Tanjong is living an entrepreneur’s dream: She turned a $5,000 investment into a $3 million business. Beyoncé is a repeat customer. Founding partner of SKIMS and co-founder and CEO of Good American Emma Grede is her mentor. UPS delivers her products around the world. Oh – and her business is less than five years old.
How’d she do it? When Wilglory visited Senegal a few years ago, she was inspired by the country’s local artisans. That spark led to the birth of her luxury purse brand, Anima Iris, with each bag carefully handcrafted by Senegalese professionals.
“In a world where technology continues to make essentials more accessible, we believe the future of value lies in what cannot be mass produced: craftsmanship, cultural heritage and storytelling,” Wilglory said.
Global reach, powered by UPS: When demand for Anima Iris’ beautiful bags grew, so did the need for the right shipping partner. Now, Wilglory brings the passion and vision to lead a global brand – and we’re the logistics powerhouse she needs to grow.
“UPS helps us deliver the Anima Iris experience to our customers around the globe with the speed, care and precision they expect,” she said. “Whether it's new international markets, better delivery timelines or smoother customs clearance, UPS helps us uphold the elevated standard of service that defines our brand.”

Plus, through our partnership with tennis champ Coco Gauff, we set up Wilglory with Emma Grede for a one-on-one mentorship opportunity.
“I felt like I was able to get inside the head of an investor,” Wilglory shared. “The kind of mentorship that is going to produce results will be very honest and direct with you. That's exactly what Emma did for me.”
“We’re building more than a brand – we’re building a legacy that redefines global luxury through an African lens,” she added. “As we grow, UPS will play a crucial role in helping us scale efficiently and sustainably.”
