Another win: Adding to the momentum of our No. 1 ranking on Forbes’ Best Customer Service list, The UPS Store took home the Judges Award for the most outstanding float design and dramatic impact at this year’s Rose Parade. This is the sixth time a float by The UPS Store has earned an award from the Tournament of Roses. 🏆
A flowery affair: The annual parade is a New Year’s Day tradition with a 136-year history. Organizers give awards for categories like float design, presentation, entertainment value, and more. It’s a pretty big deal!
The UPS Store spotlighted its Start Small, Grow Big program with Junior Achievement USA through a float themed around “Helping Dreams Take Flight,” featuring three soaring pterodactyls, steaming volcanoes and other prehistoric flora and fauna – covered with 25,000 roses. 🦕
More than roses: The program, allowing customers to donate to Junior Achievement at checkout, has already collected more than $6 million since 2022. Funds go towards programs that provide students with lessons in financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship.
"We are honored to receive the Judges Award as it symbolizes that starting and running a small business is no small feat," said The UPS Store President Sarah Casalan. "This award reflects the collective efforts of everyone involved and the hard work and passion of our network of 5,300 locally owned locations nationwide who put our customers first."
