Every June 21, musicians take to the streets to create an inclusive atmosphere where people from all walks of life come together and experience the power of music. World Music Day celebrates melodies, rhythms and harmonies from around the globe.
This year, we’re celebrating UPS employees who – outside their day jobs – bring people together with their musical talents.
*Let the beat drop* and immerse yourself in the tunes of our talented UPSers:
1. Vinny Mendez
Vinny started at UPS as a seasonal driver just outside Detroit in 2016, earning a full-time delivery role the next year. Outside of work, not only does he write songs and produce music, he also plays several instruments, from guitar to keyboard.
The best part? He penned a song about UPS’s peak holiday season. Listen to it here.
2. Yue Xiu Lim
At a young age, Yue Xiu Lim fell in love with the guzheng – the Chinese zither. For over a decade now, she’s played in local and international concerts. #TotallyCasual
At UPS, Lim is a small business assistant manager focused on launching and expanding UPS services globally. Talk about mastering the art of work-life balance!

3. Brett Batts 'Mr. Christmas in Chicago'
Brett is a delivery driver who joined UPS in 2015 and rose to fame as “Mr. Christmas” – known for singing carols and bringing holiday joy to his customers in suburban Chicago. He comes from a musical family and loves giving back to his community.
Hear him sing a tune on Good Day Chicago!
Johnny is a both a delivery driver AND a world-class bluegrass mandolin, guitar, and violin player. Throughout his 35-year career, he’s delivered what matters at his UPS day job between shows at the Grand Ole Opry – no big deal.

Michigan’s Oscar James Pegorraro has more than a million social media followers as a UPS driver by day and rock star by night. Three cheers to work-life balance!
Oscar’s band, No Resolve, has covered songs from Adele, Seal and countless others, giving them new hard rocking treatments. And this past Veterans Day, Oscar led his rendition of the National Anthem for his coworkers:
