When a friend turned in Angela Stull’s name on a UPS referral card, she didn’t know it would be an opportunity of a lifetime. Angela began her UPS journey as a document auditor while juggling life as a full-time student. Now, she’s looking back on over 30 years of learning, growth and opportunities she never imagined, including earning her customs brokerage license.

“When I got pregnant with my third child, I moved from a full-time role to a part-time position working in air cargo,” Angela said. “It was the perfect balance – I could care for my kids during the day and still keep my fantastic UPS benefits.”

Once her youngest started school, she went back full-time and helped implement a new air cargo customs system – an experience that sparked her interest in trade compliance.

“I thought I was going to work in the same role my entire career,” she said. “And then thanks to UPS, I found something I wasreally passionate about.”

Today, Angela is a Trade Compliance Services supervisor on UPS’s International Small Package Brokerage team. With her managers’ support, she recently earned her customs brokerage license. UPS helped her prep and paid her exam fee.

“A broker’s license is a big deal in our industry,” she said. “I really love this job. I'm doing something that’s helping the company and it's helping me too.”

Two of Angela’s three children also work for UPS. Her advice for them and others is simple: “UPS means opportunity. It's an opportunity to do something new in your career. It's an opportunity to change your life.”
