UPS and Teamsters Local 2727, the union representing the company’s aircraft maintenance technicians and related trades, have reached tentative agreement on a three-year contract extension.

The extension takes effect upon ratification by Local 2727 membership and extends the contract to Nov. 1, 2026.

“Our aircraft maintenance technicians are vital to helping UPS deliver what matters. Our customers depend on safe, reliable aircraft to connect customers and communities around the world,” said UPS Airlines President Jim Joseph. “We’re pleased to have come to an agreement that continues to reward our maintenance team members for their contributions to the success of the company, while ensuring we are positioned to provide outstanding service to our air express customers.”

Key components of the tentative agreement include enhancements to pay and retirement benefits.

Teamsters Local 2727 members will vote on the tentative agreement in coming weeks, with results announced on Oct. 17.
