I'm thrilled to share UPS had a big week at two major innovation events in Las Vegas – Google Cloud Next ‘24 and RFID Journal Live. These events are famous for companies – big and small – to showcase cutting-edge technology. I like to think of them as gatherings where people who create software/hardware and care about making the internet better come to share problems and solutions. The result? New tech ideas!
Speaking of cool, new tech, these events gave us an opportunity to show off our advanced RFID and Digital Twin technologies. Using tomorrow’s technology today, both play a key role in how our Smart Package Smart Facilities (SPSF) work. The following two videos do a great job simplifying how these complex technologies work in 90 seconds or less.

Innovation has been a cornerstone of UPS’s business strategy since 1907. That’s why I wasn’t surprised we were selected to display our future-focused technology at the Google Cloud Next ‘24 conference. We worked closely with Google to give attendees an engaging experience that shows how a package carefully and efficiently goes through a UPS SPSF building. As you can tell, I have a passion for this stuff and love explaining how our innovations directly affect everyday customers. We even had a drop in from Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian who chatted with us about Gen AI and our Digital Twin technology. See for yourself what happens when Googlers meet UPSers:
