What’s new: UPS is the official shipping partner of ComplexLand, a virtual culture event taking place in the metaverse.
What’s happening: UPS will spotlight four diverse small businesses at ComplexLand’s UPS Village, an immersive virtual shopping experience. The four businesses, which will each receive $10K grants from UPS, are:
- Compton Cowboys – A collective uplifting the youth in their community by introducing them to the rich legacy of Black cowboy culture.
- Brownstone – A men’s clothing brand designed to stand out.
- Cölle – A company turning candles into conversation pieces.
- Circulate – A clothing brand inspired by Black culture past and present.
As the official shipping partner of ComplexLand, UPS will deliver goods to everyone who shops in the UPS village or at Complex-owned shops.
Helping SMBs succeed in the metaverse is another example of UPS’s commitment to supporting the growth of diverse small business owners. To date, UPS has donated $1M in grants to diverse-owned businesses through the Proudly Unstoppable program and partnerships with New York Fashion Week and Complex Networks.
