A dynamic duo: You might be surprised to know that UPS has worked together with the United States Postal Service (USPS) for many years – hello, final mile delivery through SurePost, convenient UPS Mail Innovations service and many other successful collaborations. That partnership is going to the next level after a big announcement – that UPS is now the primary air cargo provider for USPS and America.

Why it matters: Under the new contract, we’ll move a majority of USPS air cargo within the U.S. and flex the capabilities of our UPS end-to-end network.

“Together UPS and USPS have developed an innovative solution that is mutually beneficial and complements our unique, reliable and efficient integrated network,” said UPS CEO Carol B. Tomé.

The big picture: With this deal, we’re on the way to our goal of growing faster than the market and hitting our financial target. Coupled with our 1+2 Strategy that will boost volume, increase revenue and fuel operating profit dollar growth throughout 2024, and also expand margin in 2025 and 2026 … we’re confident we will achieve our declarations and reach our goals.

Did you know? The previous USPS air cargo contract was held by a competitor for 22 years. Team UPS for the win! 🤎
