Small business owners move fast. We’re helping their shipping keep up, thanks to new digital tools that make it easier to create labels, schedule pickups and keep packages moving.

What’s new: From a smarter pickup dashboard to a redesigned UPS app, these updates help customers manage more of their shipping from one place

“We know small business owners are masters at juggling priorities, but a complicated shipping process shouldn’t be one of them,” said Matt Guffey, UPS Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer. “UPS is giving customers one less thing to worry about with tools designed to save time, reduce complexity and help businesses stay focused on serving customers and growing.”

Here’s what’s new for small business shippers:

1. More control over pickups

Shipping volumes can change fast. Our new pickup dashboard helps customers schedule, manage and track pickups in one place, with real-time notifications along the way. That means fewer steps — and more visibility — to get packages out the door

We also improved how customers manage Smart Pickups, making it easier to request, confirm or cancel pickups based on actual shipping needs. In simple terms: if you don’t have packages ready, you don’t need a pickup that day.

Bonus: Because Smart Pickups happen only on days when shipments are ready, businesses can potentially save up to 50% on the cost of a daily pickup.

2. Faster shipment creation

Less screen-hopping. More package-moving. We streamlined label creation on UPS.com with a new single-screen shipping experience that brings shipment details and service options together in one place, making it easier to compare choices, understand tradeoffs and create shipments faster

Customers can also import order information directly from online marketplaces and shopping carts, while shipping label templates help reduce repetitive data entry and speed up fulfillment.

3. On-the-go shipping tools

Small business owners aren’t always behind a desk. The redesigned UPS app lets customers create labels, schedule pickups, track shipments and manage shipping activity from their mobile devices. Customers can also scan a tracking number for instant shipment visibility without manual entry.

Customers can also create labels in the app and print them at more than 5,500 The UPS Store locations across the U.S. Even better: Those labels are RFID-enabled, giving customers near-real-time visibility once a package enters the UPS network.

Whether a business ships a few packages a week or hundreds a day, UPS is making shipping simpler, more flexible and easier to manage
