When disaster strikes, The UPS Foundation leverages its partnerships and UPS’s unmatched transportation and logistics capabilities to deliver essential supplies where they’re needed most. In 2025, we provided over $16M in grants and in-kind logistics support in response to 80 global disasters and humanitarian crises.

Before a storm hits, we strategically position critical supplies to enable a fast response. We then support recovery efforts by donating our services, funding grants and deploying volunteers. In 2025 alone, we shipped over 40M pounds of humanitarian goods to communities in crisis.

Hurricane Melissa - Before the storm even made landfall in Jamaica, our relief efforts were already underway.

  • Provided $100K ahead of the storm for emergency logistics, communications services, food and cash assistance.
  • Donated four flights carrying generators, food, water, hygiene kits and portable Wi-Fi routers.

Throughout 2026, recovery efforts continue. UPS and fellow Atlanta-based company The Home Depot will work to move $1M in clean-up and repair supplies across the island.

Los Angeles wildfires - When wildfires destroyed homes and forests across the LA area, we jumped into action.

  • Committed $1 million in cash and logistics support.
  • Distributed hygiene kits, masks, food and water to frontline crews.
  • Hosted events where UPS volunteers distributed mattresses, bedding and clothes.
  • Supported affected UPSers with cash assistance and financial counseling.

Typhoon Halong - As a powerful typhoon struck western Alaska and caused major flooding, we teamed up with experienced disaster relief organizations to help.

  • Donated four flights to Anchorage carrying warm clothes, shoes and meals.
  • Funded emergency housing, food, clothes, shoes and $40,000 in cash assistance.

We also worked with Jim Casey Community Service Award winner Capt. Bill Vaughan to deliver backpacks filled with blankets, stuffed animals, hygiene kits and more for displaced children.

UPS remains deeply engaged in raising awareness and equipping our workforce to recognize and report this crime where they live, work and travel. Since 2016, our company and employees have donated over $12M to fight human trafficking.

  • 220K+ UPS drivers and 3K+ UPS pilots have been trained to recognize and report human trafficking.
  • 95% of surveyed UPS drivers who took the training said they intend to use the skills they learned, and 96% said they clearly understand how to report suspected trafficking.

UPS drivers partner with nonprofit TAT to transport the Freedom Drivers Project, a mobile 18-wheeler exhibit that showcases the realities of human trafficking. Since 2014, UPS drivers have driven the exhibit more than 32K miles and hosted 8.5K+ educational tours.

Through our partnerships, programs and advocacy efforts, nearly 24K survivors have received essential services like housing, healthcare and legal and case management support.

Additionally, our public-private partnerships help develop counter-trafficking solutions to create lasting change. Learn more about National Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
