Gender Equality Index – UPS France

What's new: You can now access the 2023 UPS Gender Equality Index for operations in France. Published every year, this report is a calculation of the pay gap between men and women, as regulated by the “Freedom to Choose the Future of Your Career” legislation.

How does it work? The calculation of the index is set by decree so that it is neutral and doesn’t depend on subjective interpretation. It is based on five indicators:

  1. Gender pay gap for comparable positions and ages
  2. Difference in distribution of individual increases
  3. Promotion gap
  4. Number of employees who get a salary increase upon their return from maternity leave
  5. Parity among the 10 highest salaries

UPS France’s Gender Equality Index

In 2023, UPS France achieved a high score of 89% for 2023. The law states that if a score is below 75%, the company must make corrective measures, under penalty of a fine.

The UPS France Gender Equality Index score illustrates our long-term commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable UPS.
