Darrell Ford

EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer and Chairman, The UPS Foundation

Darrell Ford serves as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for UPS and Chairman of The UPS Foundation. As a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, he leads UPS’s people and health & safety strategies, transforming the employee experience for approximately 490,000 UPSers around the world.

Under his leadership, UPS has adopted state-of-the-art technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve candidate and employee experience and overall organizational efficiency.

As Chairman of The UPS Foundation, Darrell leads the company’s philanthropic arm focused on delivering health and humanitarian aid, eliminating system barriers to economic opportunity, building local community engagement and advancing sustainability around the world.

Prior to joining UPS, Darrell was CHRO at DuPont De Nemours, Inc. where he completed their “Journey To Three” – repositioning Dow, Corteva and Dupont as three distinct entities with realigned asset bases. In addition to leading DuPont’s HR functions, Darrell was integral in helping shape the company’s culture, with a focus on talent to increase customer and shareholder value. He achieved similar results in previous roles with Xerox Corp, Advanced Micro Devices, Shell and Honeywell in his 35-year career.

Darrell holds numerous board roles, including independent director for Illinois Tool Works, serving on the executive committee for The CHRO Association and Executive Advisor at SemperVirens Venture Capital. He is a long-time Advisory Board member for the Center for Executive Succession, Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina.

Recognized by industry and professional organizations as one of the most influential executives globally, Darrell is a 2025 National Academy of Human Resources Fellow and a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). He earned his bachelor’s, MBA and Juris Doctor degrees from Rutgers University.
