“UPS is flexible with my competition schedule. I have four to five weeks of vacation every year,” Kori said. “And UPS pays me really well. My competitions are not cheap, and I'm able to afford my flight, my hotel, my competition team, my makeup and my suits.”
Keeping our people safe: At UPS, nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our people. We spend more than $343 million in safety training annually, which accounts for 26% of our organization’s total investment in training.
And we collaborate directly with our employees and unions to continue improving. UPS and the Teamsters have established an innovative safety committee platform known as the Comprehensive Health & Safety Process (CHSP) where Teamsters-represented employees are involved in the health and safety of their fellow front-line employees. There are more than 3,200 CHSP committees in UPS facilities globally and more than 2,700 in the U.S.

On diet: “I like fruit in my salads. So, I always say have a salad with chicken and apples or have some Greek yogurt with some strawberries. And make sure you drink your water.”
On protecting your body throughout the day: “You want to keep everything in your power zone. Like when I have to pick something up, I want my feet shoulder width apart, and I want to keep whatever I have close to me in my power zone and three points of contact.”
UPS was awarded the National Safety Council’s Green Cross for Safety Award for our success in reducing injuries and commitment to employee health and safety. Check out five more ways our culture of safety remains unmatched in the industry.
