UPS enters an agreement to acquire multi-national healthcare logistics company

Acquisition will expand UPS Healthcare’s best-in-class service offerings

What’s new: UPS has announced the entry into an agreement to purchase Bomi Group, a healthcare logistics company based in Europe and Latin America that specializes in:

  • Warehousing
  • Temperature-controlled transport
  • Home care solutions
  • Services for the medical technology and pharmaceutical sectors

Bomi Group has a leading presence in key growth markets including Italy, Spain, Brazil and Colombia. With over 35 years of experience, the group has developed best-in-class service offerings for medical technology and pharmaceutical customers. 

Why it matters: The purchase will strengthen our global healthcare presence and puts us in a more competitive position in Europe and Latin America. It will also create more growth opportunities as we solve the complex healthcare logistics and delivery needs of our customers.

What’s next: Bomi Group will continue to operate with its current leadership and employees before and after the transaction closes. Over the coming months, we will develop a detailed integration plan that will benefit both our organization and our customers.
