The UPS Store Small Biz Challenge announces winner

Founder of Philadelphia-based Sustainable Clothing Company Wins $25,000 prize

The excitement of months-long work recently pinnacled with The UPS Store® Small Biz Challenge: Virtual Studio Event. In the span of 45 minutes, chef, author and TV host, Carla Hall, led five small business owner finalists through a series of games that challenged their business know-how and ability to think quickly and confidently convey their reasoning.

Following four challenges, Carla announced the winner – Dr. Kimberly McGlonn, founder and owner of Grant Blvd out of Philadelphia. Final rankings and money awarded for each finalist ended up as follows:

  1. Dr. Kimberly McGlonn - $25,000 and a feature in Inc. Magazine
  2. Julie Sullivan Loos - $20,000 and a feature in Inc. Magazine
  3. Sammi Bivens - $15,000 and a feature in Inc. Magazine
  4. Jonathan C. Marcus - $5,000
  5. David Paul - $5,000
