Let’s celebrate: Join us in celebrating 179 students – and their proud UPS parents – as 2023 recipients of our James E. Casey or George D. Smith scholarships.

In their own words: Hear what these scholarships mean to a few of the recipients.

Lasting impact: The UPS Foundation supports students as they transition into college and their careers through scholarship and financial support opportunities. Our goal is to level the playing field to make higher education and professional growth more inclusive and accessible.

Watch Nikki Clifton, president of social impact and The UPS Foundation, as she congratulates our scholarship recipients.

About these scholarships:

  • James E. Casey Scholarship: UPS established the program in 1963 to provide scholarships to children of UPSers who plan to attend a four-year college or university in the U.S. In 2013, the program was expanded internationally.
  • George D. Smith Scholarship: UPS established the program in 1983 for children of UPSers pursuing a two-year degree or certification at an accredited junior or community college, business, vocational or technical school in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Did you know? Over the past five years, we’ve invested more than $10.9 million in scholarship funding for children of UPSers pursuing degrees, including $1.8 million in 2022. Now, that’s something to celebrate! 🎉
