When customers place an order with WeatherTech for floor mats, cargo liners or seat protectors, they expect quality and precision. Delivering on that promise depends on something most people never see: a shipping network that’s reliable and costs they can actually plan around.

As WeatherTech grew, UPS helped create a shipping approach with pricing they could plan around and a more manageable day-to-day operation, especially during peak demand.

Starting with what matters most: Before designing a shipping solution, we worked with the automotive accessories company to align early on what success needed to look like.

For WeatherTech, the priority was predictability. The company wanted to know ahead of time how shipments would move and what shipping would cost, so there were fewer surprises month to month. That kind of visibility made it easier to plan staffing, inventory and customer commitments, especially during busy seasons when volume spikes and expectations stay high.

“When we know what to expect from shipping, it helps us plan with confidence,” said WeatherTech CEO David MacNeil. “That clarity allows us to stay focused on delivering a great experience for our customers.”

From there, UPS focused on understanding the business behind the shipments – how WeatherTech operates, where pressure points show up and what support would matter most.

“That starts with understanding how a customer’s business runs,” said UPS Vice President of Strategic Accounts Wendy Kubista, “Once you know that, you can build support around the way their business actually works.”

That shared understanding became the foundation for a shipping approach designed to be simpler to manage, more predictable and better aligned with WeatherTech’s growth plans.

No surprises: We agreed early on how pricing would work and what types of changes could occur over time. That upfront clarity gave WeatherTech a reliable view of shipping costs. This meant they could build more accurate budgets, plan ahead for busy seasons and avoid last‑minute cost surprises that can disrupt the business.

“Clear expectations help us set realistic commitments both internally and with our customers,” said David.

We make shipping easier to manage: UPS helps simplify how shipments move day to day for WeatherTech. Pickup and delivery follow consistent routines, which simplifies shipping during busy periods. WeatherTech’s teams can focus on processing orders and serving their customers.

“Our customers depend on us to deliver quality,” said David. “UPS understood our business and helped us keep shipments moving and customers informed, even as demand changes.”

For WeatherTech, it came down to what mattered most: clear costs, simple operations and a shipping experience its customers can count on.

“When you reduce complexities in shipping, you give a business room to focus on what it does best,” Wendy said. “That’s the kind of partnership we aim for.”
