What is new: UPS is joining forces with the Oranje Handelsmissiefonds (OHMF), a trade mission fund that helps Dutch companies, to build an international network and expand small- and medium-sized business (SMB) access to global markets.

Every year, the OHMF organises a call for projects. Ten winners are chosen to receive support from the fund, and its business collaborators like UPS, in exporting their products and services to the global market.

  • Key date: 21 April – Call for Projects Opens.

Why it matters: A lot of SMBs want to explore global markets but find it difficult to get started. It can be overwhelming to accomplish without an established network, in-house expertise, or the latest insights on important topics like sustainability. That is where the fund and its partners can help.

UPS will use its expertise as a worldwide logistics pioneer to guide the winners. Businesses get help developing cross-border processes that do not only generate profit but are also innovative and sustainable for long-term success.

  • Do you know:  Out of every euro earned by Dutch industries, 70 cents are generated by exports.

About the fund: The OHMF was founded by EY, the official Dutch SMB interest group (MKB Nederland), evofenedex and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl).
