The business: Santini Cycling exports its specialised clothing to more than 65 countries all over the world with the help of UPS. The family company produces 7,000 garments every day – all designed, engineered and manufactured exclusively in Italy.

In addition to shipping goods around the world to distributors, the performance clothing brand has an online shop for individual customers.

By working with the right logistics partner, Santini Cycling can focus on what they do best – researching new materials and developing innovative products for its demanding customers. UPS does the rest.

Staying the course: The pandemic hit the Bergamo area earlier and stronger than most European communities. UPS’ people never stopped moving however, which kept the Santini Cycling supply chain moving.

'During the months of the pandemic, I really appreciated the fact that UPS continued to deliver in the world despite the difficulties', added Monica Santini, CEO of Santini Cycling.

Since then, the region has recovered strongly and local businesses like Santini Cycling are preparing for another busy Christmas season.

We are ready: UPS’ new facility at Orio al Serio Airport in Italy can handle 3,800 parcels per hour, nearly double the capacity of the facility it replaced. Powered by 100% renewable electricity, the new building is spread across 5,000m2 – roughly the size of a professional football field.

'We are investing in every part of our network to create the best quality service for our customers. Our new facility in Bergamo is testament to how we are ready to bring "Made in Italy" to the world', said Britta Weber, country manager, UPS Italy.

Go deeper: Small businesses around the world are growing with the help of UPS. Our network and expertise allow small businesses to do more. Find more information here if you are interested in following in Santini’s footsteps.
