Founder of Lovejoy Advisors, LLC and Former President of Direct-to-Consumer, Nike, Inc.
Christiana Smith Shi is the founder and principal at Lovejoy Advisors, LLC, an advisory services firm that assists clients with digitally transforming consumer and retail businesses.
Christiana was the President, Direct-to-Consumer, for Nike, Inc., a global apparel company, from 2013 until 2016, leading Nike’s retail and e-commerce business globally. From 2012 through 2013, she was Nike’s Vice President and General Manager, Global Digital Commerce, responsible for driving the integrated global e-commerce strategy and business for Nike. She joined Nike in 2010 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Global Direct-to-Consumer, where she was responsible for overseeing DTC’s Global Store Operations, Real Estate, Finance, Supply Chain Operations and Information Technology.
Christiana came to Nike after spending 24 years with McKinsey & Company, Inc., where she worked across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia providing leadership, expertise and strategic vision to senior executives of Fortune 200 consumer companies. She was elected Director and Senior Partner in 2000, only the tenth woman to be elected senior partner at that point in McKinsey’s 70-year history.
She retired from Nike in the autumn of 2016, and is currently serving as a director on the boards of Mondelēz International, Inc. and Columbia Sportswear Company.
Christiana joined the UPS Board of Directors in 2018, and serves on the Risk Committee, and as Chairperson of the Compensation and Human Capital Committee.
Christiana is a graduate of Stanford University and has a Master in Business Administration from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Business.
