The situation: A series of tornadoes devastated parts of the Ohio Valley, Kentucky and Tennessee Dec. 10 and 11.

The response: The UPS Foundation has jumped to action with efforts that include:

  • Working with humanitarian partners and Coyote Logistics to send in-kind relief shipments.
  • Transporting pallets of water within 24 hours of disaster to Mayfield, Kentucky, one of the hardest hit communities.
  • Providing disaster relief funds through the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund.

In her words: “Our hearts go out to UPSers and their families who lost their homes and belongings during this tragedy,” said Nikki Clifton, president of social impact and The UPS Foundation. “We are there to support you with relief resources, immediate shelter, essentials and other needs.”
