UPS (NYSE: UPS), a global leader in global logistics, has appointed Ronald Mayorga as President for Mexico, where he will be responsible for designing strategies that will help better position the company in the country. Mayorga takes over Agustín Picado’s role, who has accepted a special assignment at the Company’s corporate headquarters.

He will be leading one of UPS’ key markets,” said Brad Christensen, Vice-President of Marketing for the Americas Region “Ron fully understands the industry and the company’s business goals, which is why I am certain that his vision and leadership will help UPS to continue consolidating its position and expanding the services it offers throughout the country”.
Ron started his career with UPS more than 31 years ago. Prior to being appointed President for Mexico, he held the role of District Operations Manager at Red River South, one of the largest districts in the United States, it encompasses all of UPS’ activities in the states of Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana; during his time in this role, he successfully spearheaded customer service improvements in the area. He was also responsible for restoring operations in Houston after hurricane “Harvey” in 2017 in just 9 days.
Throughout his career, he has held various senior roles in Operations. In 2007, he was the District Operations Manager for Metro-New Jersey, and, in 2003, he was the District Operations Manager for Florida and South Carolina. Ron began his career at UPS as a part-time package sorter in Miami, Florida.

Mayorga, a native from Nicaragua, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and an MBA from Webster University in South Carolina. Ron is committed to supporting community development. In the United States he has set up and worked on programs that offer opportunities to students and people from low-income backgrounds in cities such as New Jersey, Dallas and Houston and he looks forward to getting involved with the Mexican community to continue contributing to social betterment.
