The UPS Foundation is committed to bolstering public health systems and enhancing quality healthcare access globally. Through our technology, expertise and partnerships, we’re bridging gaps in health equity and optimising critical healthcare transportation to the most remote communities around the world. In 2023, we provided over $17M in grants, sponsorships and in-kind logistical support in response to more than 50 global disasters and humanitarian crises.

We are continuing our work to close accessibility gaps for communities, regardless of geography. One of the most significant contributions is our Vaccine Equity work, which builds healthy, resilient communities in a post-pandemic era. In 2023, we deployed our cold chain infrastructure for the Africa Last Mile healthcare equity programme, delivering more than 175M vaccines including lifesaving early childhood vaccines.

Anti-Human Trafficking Advocacy and Training

Human trafficking is a global humanitarian issue that has an impact on the transportation industry and the communities we serve. Our drivers are the eyes and ears of our community, which is why UPS remains deeply engaged in raising human trafficking awareness. Since 2016, our company and our employees have donated over $10M to fight human trafficking.

More than 1M trucking industry professionals have been trained to recognise and report human trafficking across North America, including more than 162K UPS drivers and over 3K UPS pilots. UPS drivers have hauled more than 19K miles and hosted over 5.6K educational tours in partnership with non-profit Truckers Against Trafficking. Together, we are supporting survivors and educating our communities.

The result? Over 18K survivors have received support through our programmes and advocacy efforts.

In addition, our $1M investment in Wellspring Living's Welcome Home Campaign builds comprehensive solutions for human trafficking survivors through therapy, housing and educational resources. Together, we are working to provide a continuum of care across multiple U.S. cities for victims of human trafficking.

Did you know? On a special episode of The Balancing Act, The UPS Foundation and Wellspring Living discussed our collective efforts to fight human trafficking. The episode, which aired during National Anti-Human Trafficking month, shed light on the resilience of survivors and how UPS is delivering hope and dignity for those affected by this terrible crime.
