As a former U.S. Marine Corps F-18 fighter pilot, now UPS Capt. Houston Mills, vice president of flight operations, knows a thing or two about critical missions.

That’s why it’s noteworthy when he says the flight filled with the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines he landed on Sunday in Louisville, Kentucky, at UPS Worldport, was every bit as important as any landed upon an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf.

"This is a different type of mission. We’re literally at war against this global pandemic,” said UPS Captain Houston Mills, vice president of flight operations. “To finally have a solution out here that’s going to help people and save lives, it’s just very humbling."

Watch Captain Mills as he describes how UPSers are united in purpose behind the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines with the potential to save lives and end the pandemic.
