What’s new: The UPS Sustainability Trailblazers, a sustainability employee ambassador program, is upping the game to drive change. The sub-committee, Trees a Crowd, is utilizing a UPS crowdsourcing tool called Think Tank, offering employees an easy way to submit sustainable ideas.
Why it matters: By creating a collaborative environment, fostering inclusiveness, our people can help advance green logistics solutions and drive social impact. They can directly contribute to our sustainability goals by submitting and championing ideas.
“Great ideas come from any person or department, not just within the sustainability team,” said Karen McNulty, international strategy manager and a member of the team spearheading the Sustainability crowdsourcing program. “We’ve got amazing people who care about our environment and our company, and together we can make a difference.”
Big picture: UPS has committed to 100% carbon neutrality in 2050 and set clear goals and plans along the way to achieve a lower carbon footprint.
